A tourism kiosk any town can use

A town in the Philippines wanted visitors to find what it has to offer without hunting for a tourism office or a local guide. We built the kiosk software and supplied the kiosk, a touchscreen that puts the town’s places, services and contacts in one spot. It launched in August 2026, and any town, city or LGU can set it up for its own visitors.

A freestanding touchscreen tourism kiosk with a scenic photo wrap, next to three of its screens: a welcome screen with a Tap to Explore button, a category menu, and a place details page

The challenge

Small towns have plenty to see, but the information is scattered: a Facebook page here, a printed map there, a phone number someone has to ask for. Visitors miss places, and local businesses miss visitors.

What we built

01

Everything a visitor needs, on one screen

Tourist spots, transport, places to stay, local products, emergency contacts and public services, all from the welcome screen.

02

Browse by category

Places are grouped into categories, such as churches, landmarks, hiking trails and resorts.

03

A page for every place

Opening hours, fees, accessibility notes and travel tips, with a Google Maps QR code visitors scan to take directions on their phone.

04

Help when it matters

An Emergency Help button sits on every screen.

05

Easy for everyone

Read Aloud and accessibility settings.

06

A console for the tourism office

Staff update places, import and export listings, and manage the kiosk from a web dashboard.

What it means for a town

  • Visitors can find places, services and emergency contacts on their own, any time the kiosk is on.
  • Local spots and businesses get in front of every visitor who stops at the screen.
  • The tourism office keeps the information current itself.
  • The console can track which places visitors view, to help with tourism planning.
